The Gleeful Adventurers
Hi, we're Kate & Dominic.
We have embraced full-time campervan/RV living and have travelled extensively throughout France, Spain and Portugal over the last 2-3 years. We're from the UK but regard ourselves as citizens of the world.
We have kept a travel blog of our adventures - just check out our Facebook page via the link below, or type in @Gleefulvan in your Facebook search.
On our travels we have encountered many interesting people and after sharing tapas y vino with some lovely Peregrinos in the beautiful town of Navarette, near Logrono, we were convinced there's a niche for providing our service.
Our research has led us to the conclusion that many would-be Pilgrims are put off by some of the stories and logistical issues involved in this undertaking.
It should be a simple process. Walk, eat, rest and relax. Walk, eat, rest and relax. Repeat.
Even seasoned Pilgrims find the process can be daunting. Accommodation is limited in the refugios & albergues (the basic hostels along the route). It is first come first served, which means many people get up before sunrise to try to get a bed before everyone else. Does that sound like fun?
Sleeping in these places can be problematic - strangers, security, snoring, sleep-deprivation. These can all ruin your journey.
Then there's having to carry all of that gear, as well as contending with blisters and injuries that can occur.
We like to live simply, so our solution and pricing is simple.
We are a mobile hostel, a porterage service, a source of hidden gems and must-sees, a concierge and provisioner. In short you walk, eat and then rest. We do almost everything else. We'll even provide a continental breakfast.
El Moli will be driven by Dominic, a professional driver. Our support van, and our home, is Gleeful, driven by Kate. Kate has a background in tourism, having ran her own B&B, a riding school, as well as being a chief steward and provisoner onboard Mega-yachts in the Caribbean.
If you get injured, or fancy a rest - no problem! Ride with us in one of the two vans, Gleeful and El Moli, Gleeful is our home - El Moli is yours.
We'll ensure you get all of the stamps in your Pilgrim passport. We can help with money and ATM issues, where to replace worn out boots, the best restaurants - particularly for Vegetarians, Vegans and conscious eaters . We even offer a laundry service.
Whether you're a group of friends, a family or couples, we can provide a tailor made trip of a lifetime.
